Privilege
A Moments Peace- Women’s Creative Company

Privilege was theatre production created and devised by the Women’s Creative Company in Glasgow. As the assistant director of the piece, I found it very moving, political and empowering. Privilege examined the world we live in, who has privilege? Who doesn’t and how does that deeply impact they way we live our lives? If you have privilege, do you always use it for good?

If I Could…

If I Could… was a seven hour long durational performance for the Into The New Festival at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2017.
I performed the durational alongside my Gran.
Every Sunday whilst I was at uni, I would travel back home to Fife and visit my Gran, the distance from her house to the train station where I would leave for uni again always felt the longest part of the journey.
In this performance I walked the distance it took to go from her house to the train station whilst carrying my Grans weight in coal, 76kg, on my back.
Phoning my Gran on the hour every hour throughout the performance for everyone to hear her champion me on and for me to ask her advice on lifes wonders, trying to forge my own path as a woman she and I would be proud of.
This performance was incredibly special to me and a highlight of my career.

No Regrets

No Regrets was a collaborative feminist performance between myself and performance artist Marie & Tammy. Our enquiry was, what does it mean to dismantle sexualised feminist tropes and how do we stay authentic to ourselves as three different women but more importantly what unites us.
Our performance was a raw and tender examination of female relationships and what pits women against each other as well as what then brings us back to each other.
